Jeff Bernstein is a Managing Director at ICR Inc. and ICR Capital LLC, where he leads the Firm’s equity capital markets advisory practice in technology and emerging industries. Jeff is a former Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, helping to execute IPO’s in the technology, media, and communications sectors from 1990-1999 as Head of Technology Equity Sales. From 2000-2011, Jeff was a long/short equity portfolio manager and Director of Research for his own fund, Keel Capital, and for The Galleon Group.
In 2012 Jeff started a multi-family office with several former Goldman Sachs Partners. Jeff started his career in 1985 in Investor Relations at Irving Bank Corp, through the acquisition by The Bank of New York, and then served as an equity research analyst at BNY, following the then fledgling cellular industry.
Jeff applies his over 30 years of experience to guide founders, management teams, and Boards of Directors through critical capital events – helping them to optimize decision making and preserving optionality throughout the process. His intimate knowledge of both Wall Street Investment banking and capital markets, as well as being an active institutional and private investor for two decades, helps clients maintain control of what is often a daunting process, and helps them find the right structure for a transaction, and the right stakeholders for the next phase of their growth.
